Original Dance

I'll leave it to Marie to do good comments, here are just some thoughts...

Lang / Tchernyshev
They have greatly improved, there are fast. I articularly like their first straight footwork. But her dress is of an horrible colour, very light pink... please !

Winkler/Lhose
There OD on 'Cabaret' is great and original, they have a great unison and a smooth skating. Maybe it could be a bit faster ? Nice charleston.
I asked them if they already had heard comments about their costumes (especially her dress and 'pants') as i heard some persons in the audience were quite shocked. They answered they have had some identical remarks at Sparkassen Cup about Kati's costume, but it is just how it is in 'Cabaret', it's where they took it from.

Anissina / Peizerat
The stumbles... could have been far better, see below.

I was quite impressed by the Hugentobler, they had a great skate.
Humphreys and Baranov fell... well he fell, and she fell on him.

Press conference
Ilia entered the press room while the other skaters had already arrived, he gave a sweet kiss to Marina and chat with her almost all through the press conference ;-).
Ilia and Irina said they were happy to be first. Last season has been really difficult for them with 2 couples defeating them, and in ice dance more than in the other categories once other dancers defeat you it is very difficult to beat them again.

Gwendal was not happy, the small mistake wasted the presentation. The beginning starts well, but he stumbled. In fact it was on a move where he has to arch his back but he arched it too mcuh, so he had to exagerate the following step to regain balance. Anyway such accident happen, the only thing is that the program are to be ready for Worlds. If they were ready at the beginning of the season they would probably not be interested in repeating programs that do not evoluate. The original dance is good, very dense, and it's no question to change it like last year. So for the OD they need more work on it, but they started to work on the new programs 2 months later compared to the other skaters, due to the French tour and the tour in the US, so they keep working...

Kati and Rene said they were happy with their performance, they like to perform it and they are very much into it (that shows ! -skatak), the audience like it too, like in Germany; they hope to skate well tomorrow.
