Men practice review
Well, i did wanted to see all the pratice today, but i definitely needed
more sleep... So i just saw the second group of the men practice, second
group which has nothing to do with the second group of yesterday, since
today's one is based on starting orders.
So, in the second goup are : Jon In Han, Ryan Jahnke, Patrick Meier,
Gabriel Monnier, Konstantin Kostin, Makoto Okazaki.
The number after RT (remember, RT=run through) is the order in which the music were played.
Jon In Han, PRK
2A-2T, 3T, 3F-3T, 3Lp, 3Lz-2T, 3A-2T
RT 5 : 3A-2T, pop Lz from steps, 3F
And then by the end of the practice he started to try the 4T... chronogically
he did : 4T fall, 4T 2ft and fall, 4T he stood up big there were 2 big
feet, 4T 2 big feet-turn out-3T, 4T pop, and then... 4T clean ! not a lot
of flow out of it but it was clean.
Ryan Jahnke USA
2A-2T, 1A-3T, 3Lz-2T
RT 2 : jazzy music : Take 5 :-) spin combo at the beginning : sit change
foot camel sit, 2A, 3Lz t-out-2T, 3F, camel spin. His spin are of excellent
quality !
Also 3A on 1 foot but he fell out, 3S-3turns-3Lp, camel-sit-change
foot-camel-sit, then jump spin, all very smooth, 2A. Great skating quality,
and Ryan is young ! 3A is not so far...
Patrick Meier SWI
i think this guy was born with a natural elegance...
1A-3T, 2A-3T very smooth, 3Lz very smooth, 3A, 3A-3T, 3T-3T, 2A-3T
RT 6 : no jumps, very good circular footwork.
Excellent choreography.
Gabriel Monnier FRA
2A or 3A - 3T-2T, 3A-2T
RT 4 : great speed into 3A-2T, steps to 3F, serpentine footwork.
Nice choreography too.
Konstantin Kostin LAT
Grey costume with parts of the US flag on it : starts on the shoulders
and stripes on the torso.
Camel-change foot- camel textbook excellent line, 2A-3T 2ft,
3A very high but landing not held
RT 3 : music is "Ainsi parlait Zarathoustra" camel-change foot camel,
3A fall (so high there may be room enough for an extra turn ?), steps to
3Lz, 2A, straight footwork with a lot of speed, ended by a deathdrop.
Then he tried the 3A again and landed it, but he lacks consistency
on this jump.
He has such an incredible spring on jumps !!!
Makoto Okazaki JPN
3Lz, 3A-2T
RT 1 : 3A not enough flow for a combo, steps to 3Lz, 3F-3T
3A-3T no flow, pop A, 3Lz-2Lp going for 3-3.... then 3Lz-3Lp ;-), 3Lz
Ryan Jahnke and Jon In Han were the only two to stay untill the very end.
In fact it was the only practice i attend, as after this one i went
back home to rest... and be in great shape for the short programs.
