CD Results & Comments:

The CD was Tango Romantica. During the practices, it was easy to spot the best team between the second&third group (the one with the french). Didn't attend to the last group sorry.
Marina and Gwendal are way above the others and I quite liked the other french (delobel and schoenfelder) and the americans.

All teams did some of their ODs, and I loved Marina and Gwendal's. They were right on every beat of music, did great steps and it was nice to see them skate so well. Their speed was awesome.
The canadians stood out since they do a charleston. I loved them, and they are so nice.
All the other teams were good or bad. Liked the americans and Isabelle and Olivier. Hated all the other teams, except maybe the swiss.
The new up and coming french team is awful : he does all the work while she is sloppy, and doesn't have a good posture at all. Exrepssions was fine, but their steps sequence were out of synch.

Let's go to the CDs now.
1. The italians. They had nice costumes, but were so slow!
2. Gourvet & Pernet : They looked stress, did everything at 0.0002 miles per hour, and still are junior in every ways. Should have been put in 11th or 12 th position, since she did twice three major mistakes, on the TWO patterns .... It looked like a WALTZ to me.
3. the japanese : they were smooth, a bit slow and were not dancing a tango at all. 11th or 12th was their right place.
4.Marina and Gwendal : They were good, but not as great as during practices. Their second pattern was better than the first time. I thought their leg extensions should have been better. One of the few teams who did a tango.
5. the chinese : good technicians, but not dancing a tango at all.
6. the americans : This cd isn't their best at all. Peter was doing a waltz and Naomi nothing but smiling. They were slow, even slower than the canadians.
7. The russians : good lines and edges, but they were slow compared to Marina and Gwendal. He was doing a watlz too ...
8. the german : another team who did a tango, and they had the best costumes of the night. They are maybe too slow to challenge the russians, but I loved them (Well I love Rene)
9. the Swiss : they did a good tango, but look a bit juniorish too.
10. Isa and Olivier did the perfect cd ! Never seen them skate it like that. Muriel told them this too. Should have been 4th at least.
11. the brits : she is good, he is sloppy. Very slow in this portion.
12. the canadian : well they did a real tango, but are a bit slow on the patterns. I woudl have them ahead of the swiss, so did the referee.

My ranking would have been :
1 - Marina & Gwendal
2 - the russians
3 - the germans (Rene is the best :) )
4 - Isa & Olivier
5 - Lang and Peter
6 - Wing & Lowe
7 - the swiss
8 - the brits
9 - the italians
10 - the chinese
11 - the french Gourvest and Pernet
12 - the japanese.
