Training Sessions comments:

As pairs trainings were so awful, I just managed to arrive to wath the group with the canadian teams, plus the chinese.
I just payed attention to their run throughs, and may have spotted some other stuffs but right now, I'll do the programs first.
1. Marcoux/ Marcotte - LP on "Les Misérables"
They didn't really do the choreography, just walked to one element to another so it's really hard to say whether I like it or not. They have some unison problems on spins, but they have nice and smooth elements. They did thrown 3 salchows and loop, sbs 3 toes, 3 salchows and 2 axels, with shaky landings and unison problems.
A lot of people were thinking that he was Michael Weiss so it was the big talk every where in Bercy and even in the Novotel.
I saw them land some 2 axels-2 toes, but wihout anything else before or after so we'll see later :)
IMO they are Sale and Pelletier's clones.

2. Pang / Tong - LP to some classical music, chinese maybe.
They walked through most of their routines, but they really have a better presence on the ice than their compatriots. The only thing is that she is so tiny, it gets scary on lifts and throws.
sbs 3 toes, thrown 3 salchow, with a strange set up into it, a "lasso into platter" lift, sbs 2 axels, then spirals, thrown 3 loop (the height is great, but the ice coverage is minimal).
Their spins looks weird but they do have tremendous edge :)

3. Sale / Pelletier - LP
Thrown3 loop, sbs 3 toes (he did 2, she 3 for once), 3 twist into spiral sequence, lasso lift, nice thrown 3 salchow (but not a lot of height), star lift, sbs spins, Death spiral, the middle section was very slow nd kind of boring thought, sbs 2 axel (he 2, her 1)-2 toes, spiral seq, platter lift, spread eagle into death spiral, pairs spin with 3 positions but turns are missing, up to 2 per position.
They did a lot of sbs 3 toes, but she couldn't land any before or after the run throughs, and David fell near the end of the practice. It didn't seem to bother them at all :)

Ladies - Group 2 : everybody showed up, the russians, the americans, and the finish and arakawa.
1. Kirk - I think it was her LP
She did the program without the jumps, did her spins and spiral. She didn't look happy at all with the way her practice went.
2. Butyrskaya - her wonderfull LP
she did most of her jumps, but didn't play the choreography, didn't do the 3-3 combos but it was a good practice. She left the ice early.
3. Volchkova - Her LP on a piano music that looked a lot like mari's one, but BORING!!!!!!!!
She wasn't great at all, thought her jumps are huge!
4. Baker - her LP
She did only 1 flip, 2 salchow, 3 toe, camel spin, 2 axel, 1 toe and fell on 2 a. She was off, looking very tensed about this competition.
5. Arakawa - her LP
She did only 2 lutz, a long setup onto 3 salchow-2loop, 3 LIP (and fell out of it), a poped axel, a 2 1/2 loop, a 3 toe, 2 axel and 2 salchow. Good jumper when she's on, boring otherwise.
6. Kettunen - LP on a piano music I loved.
She was off, landing no triples at all, thought she did some before and after her run through.

Ladies - Group 1 : everybody showed up too.
I didn't watch Fontana's SP because I didn't like her music at all. She just did her spins.
2. Poth - her LP
I don't like it, and was bored to death watching it. She did some triples like the flip, loop, toe, all the rest were doubles. Her spins are ok, thought she doesn't have a great placement.
3. Hubert - her new strange LP.
It's like her Dead can dance one, with a mix of last years too :) You hate it, or you like it ... She couldn't land the lutz there, but did 3 flip, 3t-3t, 2 a, 3 s. She fell on the circular step sequence, but looked so relaxed compared to some others ... A new attitude to her : She smiles and laugh all the time ... Maybe because of all the suffs she is taking :))))))))
4. Gusmeroli - her SP
She only did her spins, and the flip out of the steps. Her spins are better than ever, and she has a great Biellman now, as well as interesting camel position and edge changes. The beginning is a bit slow though.
5. Robinson - her LP to some boriiiiiiiiiing music ...
Didn't care about it, thought she landed the triple lutz, loop, toe, flip ... Had problems with the salchows and the combos. She was really tired at the end of the practice.
6. Soldatova new LP is BORINNNNNNNNNNG !
She did all the triples, and had good spins. Didn't do much of the choreography though ...
Random comments :All ladies here have similar music for their LP, except Hubert, Kirk and Baker. I am going to sleep all along believe me !

All the men showed up. As Ben already did a good job, I'll just post some randoms notes.
Kostin is interesting, as well as Vidrai. Loved Stan new LP and the new "Dracula" Gabriel set me on fire :) (Oliviiiiiiaaaaaaaa :) ). The japanese guy did a nice routine to Robin Hood and looked very candeloro-ish. I hate Restencourt new LP.
I didn't stay to the other group, I was too hungry :)
Dance Practices will be on the same page as the CDs themselves.
